Pioneer Woman Success Story | Sour Cream Noodle Bake

If you follow my blog you know that I cook via inspiration. A good amount of inspiration come from my cooking 'heroes' one of which happens to be the Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond . Okay ... so there is my shameless plug about a woman I idealize who had no idea that I love everything she does. One of the things that I love about her recipes, (and her, let's be honest here) is the ability to really cook meals that a family will love. I have other cooking heroes, however a lot of their recipes I would love to say I could duplicate ... but sadly I just am not there yet. Someday ... someday. In the meantime I'll continue working to find and prepare meals that my family will love, are not too hard to prepare and actually meals that I will incorporate into my weekly meal planning. ~Freshen up your Monday!~

Monday. Simply put the beginning of a new week. This means a handful of things to most of us. The optimist looks at today like the start of a basketful of new possibilities and fun. The pessimist looks at today like it's any other work week filled with early mornings and not enough sleep. I guess it depends on your outlook which way today will turn for you. I try and keep that positive outlook each Monday morning as I drive into work. Some weeks it works; others I'm already counting down the hours until Friday afternoon. This particular Monday finds me in good spirits. This is for no particular reason - I simply woke up with that happy spin on things. I had a nice, relaxing weekend at home and feel almost refreshed for the week. Almost. One of my favorite things on the weekends is to catch up on all the TV that I missed out on during the week. The majority of these TV shows for me consist of cooking shows. This does tend to drive my family a slight bit insane

Smoothie Love - Ways to Prep for the Entire Week

Maybe I needed a kick start. I've been wanting a rocket blender for quite some time but it's always been one of those things that you want but never really get yourself. At least it was for me. But alas my husband listened to my subtle clues throughout the years and bought me a Bella Rocket Blender set for Christmas. Thus my kick start happened. I started scavenging looking for smoothie recipes and loved this set because it came with the lids for easy travel. This way, in the mornings I could make my smoothie and go. Not be tempted to either eat nothing for breakfast or worse - fast food! As with the rest of my cooking I'm always looking for ways to prep ahead and save myself time throughout the week. My smoothies were no exception. Since everything can be frozen and ready for the week - what better way to prep ahead? No having to slice fruit in the mornings or portion out anything. I can simply grab a bag already portioned, blend and go. There
